Before Hamilton became a global phenomenon, before Lin-Manuel Miranda became a household name, a little show called In the Heights shook up Broadway with its hip-hop and salsa soundtrack and big, bilingual heart. In the new book In the Heights: Finding Home, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Quiara Alegría Hudes, and Jeremy McCarter tell the story of the show’s humble beginnings, from rehearsals in a bookstore basement to the Broadway smash (and soon-to-be feature film!) that created an unbreakable community and a new kind of family for everyone involved.
Join Miranda, Hudes, and McCarter for a very special In the Heights Virtual Book Launch on Tuesday, June 15 from 8:00 to 9:00pm ET on Zoom. Sure to be an unforgettable conversation on creativity, community, and finding home, this is your chance to hear directly from the creative team behind the timeless story of how one neighborhood—Washington Heights—can speak to the world.
Your ticket includes admission to this exclusive event, a hardcover copy of In the Heights: Finding Home ($40 retail price), as well as sales tax, shipping, and handling (if applicable). The book will be available for pickup at the the Million Year Picnic (map) on Tuesday, 15 June 2021. We will also be offering local delivery to the Cambridge, Watertown, Arlington, Medford, Somerville, Waltham, Belmont, and Lexington area as well as shipping to anywhere in the U.S. Shipping is scheduled to begin on Tuesday afternoon and set to be completed by the end of the week.

Howdy. It’s been over a year since the Million Year Picnic comic shop closed to customers. We continued to sell comics and graphic novels via curbside pickup, delivery, and USPS shipping.
But now, FINALLY, we are reopening for browsing starting SATURDAY, 15 MAY 2021! We will be open from noon-7pm. We’re planning on being open for several hours every day, 7 days a week, going forward. We’re working out the hours now and will provide an update once they’re established.
If you live in the greater Cambridge, Watertown, Arlington, Medford, Somerville, Waltham, Belmont, or Lexington area, we will continue to offer delivery of comics and graphic novels to your mailbox or front porch for FREE with a minimum purchase of $15!
